OPOTA CINE-VR Training

The Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) Cine-VR Program is an immersive virtual reality training system developed by Ohio University and key partners. Designed to elevate law enforcement officers' crisis management, de-escalation, and communication skills, the program immerses officers in realistic, 360-degree training scenarios.

As part of this innovative initiative, I contributed by conducting cinematography and lighting tests for the OPOTA 2.0 Cine-VR series. I analyzed data to optimize production techniques and shot and lit scenes to ensure clarity and realism. Additionally, I produced 2D informational videos to provide officers with context prior to engaging in VR training. My role also included performing quality assurance on 360 VR edits, ensuring visual accuracy and technical consistency, ultimately supporting the creation of effective and engaging training experiences for law enforcement professionals.
